-A communication from our Pastor.

Hello Church Family,

I pray that this letter finds you all well.  As many of you already know, we have been asked to leave the facility where we have met for close to seven years.  The buildings were recently sold and our lease is not being renewed.  I would like to hasten to say that we are not dissolving as a church family, but only seeking a new facility.  We are actively seeking a new location in which to hold services. We covet your prayers in regards to this need.

I am aware that many of you might have concerns about our future as a church family. I would like to point out that being small is not the same as being dead. I do not believe that our Father is done with us yet! Therefore, I am looking forward to seeing what our Father has in store for us. I firmly believe that this is just an opportunity for our Father to show what He can do and to bring glory to Himself. This is not to say that I know what God is going to do but I look forward to giving Him the opportunity to do something that is more than we can ask or imagine.

It is our goal to be completely out of the building before Thanksgiving. We are looking at Nov. 17th as being our last service in our present facility. If God has not blessed us with a place to meet by then; the November 24th service will be at our home. We are also downsizing and getting rid of various items, especially things that will not endure being stored. If you are interested in any item, check the item for a sticker. If it has a pink sticker we are keeping that item; any other color sticker you may have the item. Also, if there is no sticker, please do not take the item before checking with David, Gwen or myself because it is possible that the item belongs to another church.

The third weekend of November we are planning a huge weekend. Starting on Friday 11/15 we are looking forward to a great time of fun and fellowship packing the Christmas shoe boxes, starting at 6:30 pm. (as usual, food will be provided!) Then on Saturday 11/16 we covet your help in moving the designated items we are keeping into the storage unit. In the event that we are not able to complete moving items into storage on Saturday, we are planning to shorten our Sunday service (11/17) and would like to enlist those who are able and willing to help finish moving the rest of the items into the storage unit.

Again we covet your prayers and ask that if you have any questions, please ask one of the Board members (Pastor, LaVon, David, James, Leonitia, Elaine or Gwen).

Please join me in asking God to do a new thing as we move forward. As Isaiah said in quoting God, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." If He did it once He can do it again!

Love in Christ,

Pastor Usher
